2008 Heritage Poker Season

Hi all--

I just wanted to bring everyone up to speed on a couple changes to our format this year. In 2008 we will changes things up a bit by indroducing new games for the tournament (Omaha, H.O.R.S.E., etc.) and we will be preparing for a big high stakes event at the end of the year.

At the end of the year we are going to have a large buy-in tournament. But, in order to sweeten the pot we will be contributing to the high stakes event throughout the year by taking $5.00 off each buy-in (all money throughout the year goes to the prize pools in which all players can win).

This is how it will work: In the first event the buy-in is $25.00. $20.00 of the buy-in will go to the prize pool for that event. $5.00 will go to the prize pool at the end of year. If there are 20 people playing at the first event then $400.00 will be divided among the winners of the first event and $100.00 will go to the prize pool for the high stakes event. If an average of $100.00 is contributed throughout the year then there will be an additional $1200.00 for the high stakes event in addition to the high stakes buy-in.

The buy-in for the high stakes game will be between $100 to $200 and anyone can play in the high stakes game if they have played at least once throughout the year in a tournament which contributed to the high stakes pool. We won't be doing any point system or freerolls to qualify for the high stakes game.
